Developing a Healthy Aging & Wellness Center for North Idaho

Living Strong North Idaho is a nonprofit community wellness project focused on the development of a future Healthy Aging and Wellness Center serving adults age 55 and older.

The project is built around prevention-focused wellness—helping people maintain strength, mobility, balance, and independence as they age—before crisis or decline occurs.

Why Healthy Aging Matters

As people age, changes in strength, balance, bone health, and hormonal function can quietly increase the risk of falls, injury, and loss of independence. These changes often occur gradually and may not be addressed until a crisis happens.

Living Strong North Idaho exists to support healthy aging through prevention-focused wellness that complements medical care and rehabilitation services. By promoting strength, mobility, education, and coordinated community support, this initiative helps create a foundation for long-term health, resilience, and quality of life.

Our Vision

The future Living Strong North Idaho Wellness Center will serve as a welcoming hub where older adults can access strength and mobility programs, wellness education, and coordinated support through trusted community partnerships.

The center is being designed to complement—not replace—medical care by focusing on prevention, functional movement, and whole-person well-being.
