The Healthy Aging Challenge

As our population ages, many individuals face increasing health challenges related to mobility loss, metabolic disease, declining physical function, and reduced independence. While these issues often develop gradually, they are not inevitable consequences of aging.

Research continues to demonstrate that preventive healthcare, movement, nutrition, education, and community support all play important roles in maintaining long-term health and quality of life. However, these resources frequently operate in isolation, making it difficult for older adults to access coordinated support.

Living Strong North Idaho was created to address this gap by implementing a prevention-focused integrated healthy aging model that connects these elements into a more coordinated system designed to support function, independence, and long-term community health.

Our Mission

The mission of Living Strong North Idaho is to develop and implement a prevention-focused integrated healthy aging model that helps older adults maintain mobility, function, independence, and quality of life through coordinated preventive healthcare, movement, nutrition, education, and community support.
