Community Impact

Living Strong North Idaho is working to improve community health by implementing a prevention-focused integrated healthy aging model that connects preventive healthcare, movement, nutrition, education, and community support into a more coordinated system.

By building partnerships, expanding access to trusted resources, and creating a more connected approach to healthy aging, the organization seeks to help older adults maintain mobility, function, independence, and quality of life while strengthening long-term community health outcomes.

Why Healthy Aging Matters

As people live longer, maintaining mobility, function, metabolic health, and overall resilience becomes increasingly important for preserving independence and quality of life. Many common health challenges associated with aging can be influenced by preventive healthcare, movement, nutrition, education, and community support.

However, these resources often operate independently, making it difficult for individuals to access coordinated support. Living Strong North Idaho is working to address this challenge by implementing a prevention-focused integrated healthy aging model that connects these elements into a more cohesive and accessible system.

Our Community Focus

Living Strong North Idaho is focused on advancing a prevention-focused healthy aging model that supports individuals and communities through:

• Maintaining mobility, function, and independence
• Supporting nutrition, metabolic health, and preventive health practices
• Connecting healthcare, movement, education, and community support
• Building partnerships that strengthen healthy aging across North Idaho
• Expanding access to trusted resources and coordinated support systems
• Improving long-term quality of life and community health outcomes

Measuring Our Impact

As Living Strong North Idaho continues implementing its prevention-focused integrated healthy aging model, we are committed to measuring both community engagement and meaningful indicators of healthy aging impact.

Our impact will be measured through indicators such as:

• Community partnerships and organizational participation
• Educational resources and research library utilization
• Newsletter and community engagement growth
• Participation in healthy aging initiatives and programs
• Expansion of coordinated healthcare and community partnerships
• Long-term development of a scalable healthy aging support system

Our Long-Term Vision

Living Strong North Idaho is working to expand a prevention-focused integrated healthy aging model that helps older adults maintain mobility, function, independence, and quality of life through coordinated healthcare, movement, nutrition, education, and community support.

As partnerships, participation, and operational infrastructure continue to grow, this model will expand into a dedicated healthy aging center that brings together preventive health services, educational resources, community support, wellness navigation, and opportunities for meaningful social connection in one welcoming environment.

As this vision develops, Living Strong North Idaho will also explore transportation solutions that help older adults access wellness programs even if they are no longer driving. This may include partnerships with senior living communities, volunteer driver programs, and collaboration with regional transportation providers to ensure that transportation challenges do not limit participation.
